VIENNA, 13 November (BelTA) - Belarus looks forward to long-term cooperation with the Austrian Raiffeisen Bank as the country seeks to develop the financial market, Belarus' Finance Minister Maksim Yermolovich told the media in Vienna, BelTA has learned.
“It is too early to talk about the results of this cooperation. But the things we have agreed on can give a very big impetus to the further development of the financial sector and the investor base,” the minister said.
Speaking about the time framework, he said that the project will be implemented in 2020. 2021 will see a completely new infrastructure solution for working on the market, expanding the investor base. “We are set to bring a large amount of investment through the channels of the financial market. This will be a brand new reality for the Belarusian market. But a huge amount of work is ahead of us. We are just at the beginning of the journey, engaging in the discussions, negotiations,” Maksim Yermolovich noted.
