Belarus' exports of goods, services up 19.4% in H1 2018

MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) – In January-June 2018 Belarus' exports of goods and services totaled $20.2 billion, up 19.4% versus the same period of 2017, BelTA learned from the latest statistics report released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services totaled $40.1 billion, up 20.7% from January-June 2017. Exports amounted to $20.2 billion; imports grew by 22.1% to $19.9 billion. The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services reached $329.4 million.

Belarus' trade in goods surged by 21.5% to $33.6 billion. Exports of goods went up by 20.1% to $16.1 billion, with imports up 22.8% to $17.5 billion. The deficit of Belarus' trade in goods amounted to $1.38 billion. In January-June 2017 the deficit stood at $833.6 million.

Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $66.57 billion (up 16.9% as against the same period in 2017). Exports of services stood at $4.14 billion (up 16.7%), with imports at $2.42 billion (up 17.1%). The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $1.7 billion (up 16.2% from January-June 2017).
