Belarus' export up 18% in January-September

MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – In January-September 2018 Belarus' export of goods and services went up by 18% from the same period last year to reach $31.06 billion, BelTA learned from the statistical data published on the website of the National Bank.

The foreign trade in goods and services made up $61.26 billion, up 18% from January-September 2017. The export totaled $31.06 billion; the import exceeded $30.2 billion (up 18.1%). Belarus' foreign trade surplus made up $861.9 million.

The foreign trade in goods expanded by 18.8% to $50.97 billion. The export of goods went up by 18.9% to $24.6 billion, the import increased by 18.7% to $26.3 billion. The trade deficit made up $1.69 billion (in January-September 2017 the trade deficit totaled $1.46 billion).

The foreign trade in services reached $10.28 billion (up 14.6% to January-September 2017). The export of services totaled $6.4 billion (up 14.6%), the import - $3.86 billion (up 14.6%). The trade surplus was at the level of $2.55 billion (up 14.6% from January-September 2017).
