MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – The World Customs Organization (WCO) should remain a professional platform for dialogue between customs services, representative of the State Customs Committee of Belarus at the Belarusian embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium Pavel Pavlyukevich said at one of the meetings of working groups of the WCO bodies, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee.

“Repeating statements by representatives of Ukraine about the violation by the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus of the principles of customs cooperation, the destruction of the Ukrainian customs infrastructure, the escalation of hostilities, which are supported by a certain group of countries, should not be made at such meetings, since this is outside the scope of authority of this organization,” Pavel Pavlyukevich said. The Belarusian representative called for normalizing movement on Belarus' border with the European Union member states, and for reopening temporarily closed checkpoints.

Belarus communicates its position at various international platforms, the State Customs Committee noted.
