Belarus, China discuss plans to diversify bilateral trade

MINSK, 18 May (BelTA) – Belarus and China have discussed plans to expand the assortment of bilateral trade, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting between BelCCI Deputy Chairman Denis Meleshkin and the deputy chairwoman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Heilongjiang Committee.

The parties discussed topical issues of Belarus-China cooperation in trade and economy, analyzed a possibility to intensify contacts between business circles, to diversify mutual deliveries, and arrange events involving businesses from the two countries.

Denis Meleshkin invited Chinese enterprises to take part in the international exhibition Belagro, as well as to visit Belarus' national exposition at the International Industrial Fair Innoprom and the China International Import Expo in Shanghai.

The Belarusian side also asked the representatives of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Heilongjiang Committee to help find a person who would represent the BelCCI in Heilongjiang Province.
