Belarus, China discuss opening new online shops to sell Belarusian goods

MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Yuri Senko met with Director General of SZAO Industrial Park Development Company Li Zhonghan, representatives of the Belarusian embassy in China told BelTA.

Yuri Senko and Li Zhonghan discussed cooperation results achieved in 2022, including the promotion of the project concerning Belarus' national pavilions on China's digital platforms, as well as plans for cooperation in 2023.

Yuri Senko stressed that despite the complicated epidemic situation bilateral cooperation in the sphere of digital commerce is developing vigorously. Li Zhonghan remarked that in the first half a year of the Belarusian national pavilion's work the number of subscribers among Chinese consumers exceeded 670,000 people while the total number of views exceeded 3 million.

During the meeting a ceremony took place for handing in authorizations for opening digital national pavilions of Belarusian goods on seven new digital platforms.

Belarus' national pavilions have been open on the digital platforms Douyin and JD.com since July 2022.
