NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK OBLAST, 26 May (BelTA) - The first biotechnology forum of the Belarus-Russia Union State is taking place at the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation (BNBC), BelTA has learned.
“In 2016, the head of state allocated 160 hectares of land for the construction of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation. The president signed the relevant decree, after which all the work began. It took three years to coordinate the project, and then construction began. In spite of the fact that the implementation of the project took place during the pandemic, we built everything in time. Ninety-six hectares have already been used up, and the vitamin production facility is to be built on the remaining area. This project is currently under approval,” Director General of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation Daniil Uritsky said.
According to him, 16 plants have been built at BNBC. The agro-industrial block consists of plants to make mixed fodder for pigs, cattle and poultry, fish, as well as premixes.
“The foundation of these productions is an elevator with 35 silos, each of which holds 12,800 tonnes of grain. Thus, the high-tech complex of grain reception, cleaning, drying and storage makes up 448,000 tonnes. In total, we process 700,000 tonnes of grain per year,” the BNBC director general said.
BNBC has a biotechnology complex, which includes flour, starch, wheat gluten and glucose syrup productions. There are also plants for lysine, threonine, tryptophan fermentation, threonine and tryptophan extraction.
According to Daniil Uritsky, the production waste contains clean fish standard water and sterile air.
“We have produced $200 million worth of products over six months of 2022. This year the goal is to reach $500 million. Then we plan to make $700 million worth of products,” the BNBC director general said.
The first biotechnology forum of the Belarus-Russia Union State is taking place on the site of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation in Minsk Oblast. The event envisages a tour around the BNBC production facilities: amino acid production, feed production, premix production, scientific and practical center, infrastructure facilities. The program of the forum will also include discussion sessions. The main topics to be discussed at the forum are biotechnologies in the Union State, development of new export-oriented productions, new opportunities for forage production in the Union State, efficiency and technologies in livestock breeding and many other matters.
