Batch of Belarusian trolleybuses delivered to Russian Novokuibyshevsk

MOSCOW, 13 November (BelTA) – A solemn ceremony to hand over 15 low-floor trolleybuses made by Belarusian OAO Belkommunmash took place in Novokuibyshevsk, Samara Oblast, Russia, the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia told BelTA.

The trolleybuses are fitted with air conditioners, CCTV cameras, passenger information systems, and a mechanical ramp with manual controls to make things easier for passengers with disabilities.

The head of the Ufa branch of the Belarusian embassy Piotr Baltrukovich and top officials of the Novokuibyshevsk city administration discussed matters of cooperation with a view to further developing the city's mass transit system.

It is not the first batch of Belkommunmash trolleybuses in use in Samara Oblast. “Belarusian vehicles are used in Samara and Tolyatti and residents of the cities like them a lot,” the source noted.
