Another 130-tonne haul truck from Belarusian BelAZ starts working in Ukraine

MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – This year's first 130-tonne haul truck BelAZ-7513 was delivered to the Gleyevatsky open pit of the Central GOK division of Metinvest Group (Krivoi Rog, Ukraine), the press service of the Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ told BelTA.

The new haul truck will be used to carry rock along the serpentine road of the oldest mine of Central GOK. The powerful 130-tonne truck is an optimal vehicle for operating in complicated conditions of artificial mountainous terrain. The first mining and transport shop of Central GOK now has 31 trucks like that.

According to BelAZ, the truck is designed to handle heavy loads and is fitted with modern electronics such as an external digital load indicator panel, a five-camera video observation system, an automatic lubricating system, and a tire pressure control system.

Metinvest is an international mining and metallurgy group with enterprises located in Ukraine, USA, and the European Union. It is Ukraine's largest producer of iron ore and coal. OOO Metinvest Holding runs coal enterprises, mining enterprises, coke-chemical enterprises, metallurgical enterprises, and pipe industry enterprises.

The public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the managing company of the holding company BelAZ. BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks and transport equipment for mining industry and civil engineering industry. BelAZ accounts for some 30% of the world market of haul trucks with an extremely large carrying capacity. The company makes the world's largest haul truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes.
