MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) – In January-July 2019 agricultural farms of all kinds (state-run agricultural enterprises, private farmers, subsidiary farms) produced Br9.2 billion worth of goods, 5.6% up from the same period of last year in comparable prices, representatives of the National Statistics Committee told BelTA.
In January-July 2019 agricultural enterprises made Br8.8 billion worth of products, 6.5% up from January-July 2018 in comparable prices.
The output of cattle and poultry (in terms of live weight) in farms of all kinds totaled 1,036,400 tonnes. Milk production reached 4,326,900 tonnes, with egg production at 2,079.5 million. Agricultural enterprises accounted for 95.9% of the output of cattle and poultry, 98.3% of milk output, and 81.4% of egg production.
As of 1 August 2019 the number of cattle in agricultural enterprises stood at 4.3 million head, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs amounted to 2.5 million head.
Work continues to harvest grain crops and fodder in Belarus.
