Abramenko: China invests over $100m in projects in Belarus in 2022

MINSK, 17 February (BelTA) - Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and China has been growing steadily, Belarusian Deputy economy Minister Alesya Abramenko said at the Belarusian-Chinese investment forum, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

According to Alesya Abramenko, the Belarusian-Chinese trade and economic cooperation is characterized by progressive growth and dynamics. "Over the past year, our trade reached a record $5.8 billion. Belarus' merchandise exports to China almost doubled and amounted to $1.6 billion. The number of domestic enterprises accredited at the Chinese market has reached two hundred," Alesya Abramenko said.

Partners from China see new opportunities in Belarus. "In 2022, Chinese investors invested over $100 million in the projects in Belarus. With the participation of Chinese companies, Belarus implemented more than 40 projects. Work is underway on another 20 promising projects," the deputy minister emphasized.
