About 18m tonnes of oil processed by Belarusian refineries in 2018

MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian oil refineries Naftan and Mozyr Oil Refinery processed about 18 million tonnes of oil in 2018, BelTA learned from Belneftekhim Deputy Chairman of the Board Vladimir Sizov.

This year's trade balance sheet provides for the possible delivery of up to 24 million tonnes of Russian oil. Belarusian oil refineries are supposed to process 18 million tonnes of this total.

Asked about the search for alternative sources of oil, the official reminded that the work had not stopped. “We constantly keep on standby all the routes, which can potentially deliver oil to Belarusian oil refineries. If it is economically advisable, this way of delivery will be implemented,” he explained.

As for the price for fuel at refueling stations, Vladimir Sizov noted that the concern will continue a moderate and careful pricing policy. “We keep an eye on changing prices for raw materials and the dynamics of the national currency. We also have to keep in mind taxes. Depending on how external parameters change, we will submit proposals on changing prices,” Vladimir Sizov stated.
