Visa-free travel program

Foreign citizens are allowed to stay in Belarus for up to 30 days without visas, provided they cross the border at the Minsk National Airport. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed the relevant decree on 24 July 2018. The first presidential decree to enable visa-free travel to Belarus came into effect on 12 February 2017. The document allowed foreign tourists to enter Belarus for up to 120 hours without visas, provided they crossed the border at the Minsk National Airport.

Minsk-Baku flights to be available four times a week

Flights from Minsk will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 23:15 local time with arrival in Baku on the next day at 03:35 local time.

Grodno welcomes 70,000th visa-free tourist year-to-date

The anniversary tourist who took advantage of the visa waiver program was a 74-year old Jutta Christensen from Denmark. She came to Grodno with a group of pensioners with whom she studies the Russian language at a hobby club.

More tourists cross Belarusian-Polish border in Augustow Canal area

The seasonal border checkpoint Lesnaya-Rudawka was opened from May till 1 October 2018. Over 3,000 people crossed the border via the checkpoint, 18% up from the year before. As many as 43% of them were riding a bicycle while another 12% were travelling by motorboat, by boat, and by canoe.

Chinese girl travels all over Belarus on bicycle

Belarus is the second country after Russia the 24-year-old girl has visited. She has already been to the Belarusian cities of Vitebsk, Polotsk, Minsk, Mogilev, and Gomel. After Belarus the intrepid tourist intends to ride on to Ukraine, then Turkey, Iran, South African countries.

Brest tourist information centers to open in Polish towns

Partners from the Polish towns of Bialystok and Wlodawa voiced their interest in opening such centers. Talks are underway with local authorities of Terespol and Biala Podlaska.

This center is designed to inform Polish residents and nationals of other countries about tourist attractions of Brest Oblast and Belarus in general, the visa-free program and forthcoming events.

Germany named Belarus' most valuable visitor market

The number of visits from other countries increased as well. Since the launch of the 30-day visa-free travel Belarus has welcomed almost 12,000 visits. There has been a 35% rise in the number of visa-free visits on the same period a year prior.
