Yuri Albers named head coach of Belarus' biathlon team

MINSK, 18 May (BelTA) – Well-known Belarusian specialist Yuri Albers has been appointed as head coach of the Belarusian national biathlon team, BelTA informs.

Oleg Ryzhenkov was named chief coach of the men's team, Fyodor Svoboda – chief coach of the women's team.

The contracts with the specialists will be signed on 1 July 2018.

Preparations for a new season have already kicked off, with Belarusian biathletes Irina Krivko, Dinara Alimbekova, and Anna Sola joining training sessions.

The 2018-2019 biathlon season will kick off with BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 1 in Pokljuka, Slovenia on 30 November.
