Vadim Kaptur of Belarus in top ten at 2017 European Diving Championships

MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Vadim Kaptur, the leader of the Belarusian diving team, made it into the top ten at the 2017 European Diving Championships in Kiev, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian scored 411.30 points in the men's platform. Frenchman Benjamin Auffret secured gold with 511.75. Russia's Viktor Minibayev won silver with 493.25. Matt Lee of the UK scored 485.55 to finish third.

In 2017 Vadim Kaptur won bronze of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2017 in Rostock, Germany. He then scored 256.85 to place behind two Chinese athletes. He is also the European medalist of 2008, 2010 and 2014.

Earlier, Vadim Kaptur and Artyom Borovsky finished fourth in the synchro springboard. Alyona Khamulkina and Vadim Kaptur also finished fourth in the team event.
