Two Belarusians in top 20 at Pyeongchang Women's Sprint

MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Two Belarusians made it into the top 20 at the Women's Sprint of the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon in Pyeongchang, BelTA has learned.

Irina Krivko of Belarus finished 19th, 1:41.4 (0+0) behind the winner, Germany's Laura Dahlmeier (20:43.7; 0+0). Second was Norway's Tiril Eckhoff, 8.4 second back (0+0). France's Anais Chevalier grabbed the last spot on the podium, 41.6 seconds back (0+0).

Three-time Olympic champion Darya Domracheva placed 20th, 1:42.4 back, with two penalties. Nadezhda Skardino finished 22nd, 1:47.6, with one penalty. Darya Yurkevich crossed the finish line 57th, 2:49.4 back. Nadezhda Pisareva was 65th, 2:58.7 back, two penalties.

Four Belarusian biathletes will take place in the Women's Pursuit on 4 March.
