Tsmoki Minsk win FIBA Europe Cup Second Round opener

MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – BC Tsmoki Minsk enjoyed a good start of the Second Round of the FIBA Europe Cup as they took a 89-76 win over the visiting Bnei Herzliya of Israel on 13 December.

The Minskers went off on a good note, winning the first quarter with 10-point difference (28-18). In the second quarter the guests managed to reduce the gap to 5 points. After the big break Igor Grishchuk's men held the nerve to secure a well-deserved victory. Nemanja Milosevic led the team with 23 points.

The Dragons will next play Hungary's Kormend on 14 December.

In the Second Round, which is over on 25 January 2017, 24 teams have been divided into six groups. The winners of the groups as well as two best second-place teams will advance into the Round of Last 16, where they will be joined by eight teams from the Champions League.
