Tsmoki Minsk progress to Basketball Champions League qualification round two

MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – BC Tsmoki Minsk will take on Ironi Nahariya in Qualification Round 2 of the Basketball Champions League next week, following their second-leg 74-64 win over Rilski Sportist on 29 September, BelTA has learned.

Justin Gray led a balanced offence for Minsk with 19 points.

Belarus also won the first leg in Bulgaria, 72-58.

BC Tsmoki Minsk will host Ironi Nahariya in Minsk on 4 October and will travel to Israel on 6 October.

The winner of the two-round qualification will make part of Pool A together with Turkish Banvit, Germany's Fraport Skyliners, Greek Aris, Czech CEZ Nymburk, Slovenia's Helios Suns, French AS Monaco, and one more team that go through qualification. Runners-up of the first and second qualification rounds of the Champions League will continue the international season in FIBA Europe Cup. The regular season of the Basketball Champions League will be over in February 2017. Two best teams from each of four groups will qualify for the quarterfinal. The Final Four will take place on 28-30 April.
