Three Belarusians in 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League playoff

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – The 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League, the most prestigious volleyball tournament, has entered its playoff period. Three Belarusian players, namely Anna Klimets, Yelena Yuryeva and Kristina Mikhailenko, have reached the playoffs as part of their teams, BelTA informs.

In the Playoff 12 round Uralochka Yekaterinburg with Anna Klimets in its roster lost to Dinamo Kazan which colors are defended by Yelena Yuryeva 1-3 (21-25, 18-25, 25-20, 10-25). Anna Klimets collected 8 points at the game in Yekaterinburg while Yelena Yuryeva earned 13 points.

Kristina Mikhailenko led her German Dresdner SC with 25 points. However, the Belarusian's efforts were not enough for a win against Dinamo Moscow 1-3 (31-33, 25-21, 22-25, 11-25).

The return games will take place on 24 February. The winners will advance into the Playoff 6 round. The Champions League final (women) will be held in Montichiari, Italy on 9-10 April.
