Team Belarus' readiness for Pyeongchang reviewed in Minsk

MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – The readiness of the Belarusian delegation for the Olympic Games was discussed at the meeting of the Belarusian organizing committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang on 29 January. The meeting was chaired by Vice Premier Vasily Zharko, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian government.

The organizing committee discussed the readiness of the national delegation for the games. The heads of the winter sports federations (their deputies) provided detailed information on the athletes' readiness for the competitions and also on all necessary measures taken to ensure the technical, scientific, pharmacological, and financial preparation of the delegation.

Vasily Zharko instructed all the stakeholders involved in the preparations for the Olympics to address any issues that may emerge in Pyeongchang in a prompt and efficient way to ensure successful participation of the national sports delegation in the competitions.

The 23rd Olympic Games in Pyeongchang will take place on 9-25 February. The games will feature 102 events in 15 sports. Belarus will field 28 athletes in six sports.
