Russia's Artem Artemov signs with HC Dinamo Minsk

MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) – Russian forward Artem Artemov, 21, has signed a one-year contract with HC Dinamo Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the team.

Born in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Artem Artemov played for several Moscow-based schools as a junior (Raduga, Krylya Sovetov, CSKA, Spartak, Dinamo) and was considered one of the most talented Russian ice hockey players of his age. He was included in Russia's U16 squad and was among the candidates who could make it to the 2016 Ice Hockey Junior World Championship. However, he did not play a single official match.

In 2013, Artem Artemov went overseas to join Chicago Steel (USHL) and posted 16 goals and 17 assists in 56 appearances. Next season, he signed with Saginaw Spirit (OHL) to record 16 goals and 19 points in 71 games. In his sophomore season for Saginaw Spirit, he scored 56 points (19+37) in 71 appearances.

In the 2016/2017 season, the Russian forward signed a contract with HC Sibir Novosibirsk where he made 41 appearances before joining HC Dinamo Minsk.
