New Star Ambassadors of Minsk European Games announced

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) - Miss Belarus 2018 Maria Vasilevich and honored master of sports, five-time Olympic medalist in fencing Alexander Romankov have become Star Ambassadors of the 2nd European Games 2019, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC).

“It is a great honor for me to receive the title of a Star Ambassador of the European Games. I have been a fan of athletics since childhood, especially track disciplines. I also watch cross-country skiing and biathlon and have sights on new sports. Next time I go abroad to see the girls I met at Miss World 2018 in China, I will tell them about the upcoming games in Belarus and invite them to attend the event. Social networks will be the main platform for me to promote the European Games,” Maria Vasilevich said.

“During the European Games, Minsk will welcome a lot of foreign guests. I would like them to learn more about our country, its capital, and people and understand that Belarus is a peace-loving and sport-friendly nation,” Alexander Romankov noted.

The information project Star Ambassadors of the European Games 2019 aims to promote the upcoming multisport event in Belarus and abroad, attract attention to its ideas, drum up the interest of Belarusians and the international community, and popularize sports included in the European Games program.
