Mogilev to host trampoline competition 3-7 December

MOGILEV, 1 December (BelTA) – Double Twist, the open national trampoline and tumbling competition for the prizes of Tatyana Petrenya, Honored Master of Sports, a participant of Olympic Games in Athens, Beijing, London, and Rio, will take place in Mogilev's Palace of Gymnastics from 3 to 7 December, BelTA learned from the Bagima Children and Youth Olympic Reserve School.

The competition will bring together more than 200 best athletes aged from 8 to 18 from Belarus, Russia, Moldova, and Lithuania. The victory will promote some of them to the national team and will allow them to participate in high-profile international events.

The athletes will compete for 24 sets of medals in three age groups. The judges will select winners in the Top Performance category for the most difficult program in the oldest and middle age groups in trampolining. The Double Twist award will be presented for the most difficult element in the oldest and middle age groups in tumbling. There will be two more awards, The Youngest Male Participant and The Youngest Female Participant.

The event is organized by the Sports and Tourism Department of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee, the Education, Sports, and Tourism Department of the Mogilev City Hall, and the Bagima Children and Youth Olympic Reserve School named after Oleg Mishchenko.
