MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) - Minsk will host a meeting of the organizing committees of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) in May, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Biathlon Federation.
The event will be running on 8-13 May. The meeting will be attended by representatives of the executive, technical, medical, and legal committees, and also the development and information committees.
It is planned that Minsk will host 45 representatives of the IBU, including IBU President Anders Besseberg, First Vice President Viktor Majgurov, and Secretary General Nicole Resch.
Belarus is set to host big biathlon tournaments after 2020. “The Raubichi Olympic Center will host the IBU Summer Biathlon World Championships in 2019. Thus we will be able to show our capabilities to the IBU during the May event,” the Belarusian Biathlon Federation said.
