MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Minsk will host the 2020 Eurohockey Indoor Championships, Women, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Hockey Federation.
The decision was made by the Executive Committee of the European Hockey Federation. In deciding on the venue the officials took into account the excellent organization of the continental championship at the Minsk Sports Palace in 2016.
The 2020 Eurohockey Indoor Championships, Women will take place in Minsk on 24-26 January. Taking part in the competitions apart from Belarus will be Austria, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
Belarus' national indoor hockey team is currently ranked 3rd in the International Hockey Federation. Belarus won bronze medals at the Eurohockey Indoor Championships and the Indoor World Cup in 2018.
