Minsk Palace of Rhythmic Gymnastics to open on 6 March

MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – The Palace of Rhythmic Gymnastics will open on Pobeditelei Avenue in Minsk on 6 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association.

The inauguration ceremony will bring together many big-name athletes, including President of the European Gymnastics Union Farid Gayibov.

The decision to construct the sports complex was made by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko. The active stage of construction works began in October 2016. A year and a half later, the flagship facility is ready. The complex comprises two large training rooms, two rooms for beginners, four choreography rooms, an aerobics room, a swimming pool, two saunas, a gym, a sunroom, a cafe, 18 hotel rooms, a cardio area, a physiotherapy room, a massage room, medical treatment and recreation rooms for athletes and coaches, and an administrative unit.
