MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – The Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC) has launched a large-scale project Bright Team. The initiative started with the Bright Beach Soccer match on 1 August, BelTA informs.
The event held at the Olimpiysky center was won by a team of the Slavnaya drinking water producer. They beat Art Stars comprising Belarusian celebrities 3-0 in the final. Yuri Tsyrkunov from Art Stars was named the player of the match. Taking part in the competitions were also the MEGOC team made up of candidates to become volunteers at the European Games, a team of journalists of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company, and the team of the ONT TV channel. Litesound Band, one of the artists taking part in the competition for their song to be chosen as the theme song for the Minsk 2019 Opening and Closing Ceremonies, performed at the event.
Anatoly Kotov, Deputy CEO of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019, noted that all the participants enjoyed the event.
According to Chairman of the Belarusian Beach Soccer Federation Aleksei Sychev, the participants of the match showed a good level, although for many of them it was their first playing experience. Such competitions will promote beach soccer and also other sports included in the program of the 2nd European Games 2019.
