MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – Hosting the Second European Games is a very important and honorable mission for Belarus, Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said in an interview with the Belarus 1 TV channel on 31 December, BelTA has learned.
“Hosting the Second European Games is a very important, responsible and honorable mission. We will do our best to make sure the guests who will visit Belarus have good impressions,” Vladimir Makei said.
The minister stressed that sport is good for diplomacy. He recalled Darya Domracheva's incredible victories at the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014. Her performances brought Belarus into the spotlight.
