MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) - The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has named the best players of the 21st week of the 8th season of the championship in four categories. Minsk goalie Jeff Glass was named the goaltender of the week, BelTA learnt from the KHL press service.
The Canadian goaltender helped his team to victory in all three games last week. Jeff Glass ended the week with a save percentage of 97.14 and a goals against average of 0.97.
Georgy Misharin (Sibir) was named the defenseman of the week. He featured in four games and celebrated three wins, recording 3 points (1+2), 7 shots, 4 hits and a +8 for the week.
The forward of the week title went to Artyom Fyodorov (Dynamo Moscow), whose haul of 5 points (4+1), including a double at Admiral, helped his team achieve four victories in four outings on the road.
Best rookie was 19-year-old CSKA forward Andrei Svetlakov, who recorded three goals and a +2 in three appearances (all victories).
