Highlights from the 2014 IIHF World Championship in Minsk

Belarus and Latvia will co-host the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in 2021. The voting on the 2021 host country was held during the IIHF Congress in Cologne on 19 May 2017. The joint bid of Minsk and Riga got 55 votes while Finland's bid received 52. Both cities will host the preliminary round matches while the Belarusian capital will be the venue of the semifinal and medal games.

Belarus hosted the championship in 2014. The venues were Minsk Arena and Chizhovka Arena.
