MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – HC Yunost Minsk will play at the international ice hockey tournament The Tatra Cup, which is due to take place in Poprad, Slovakia on 17-20 August, BelTA learned from the team's press service.
Mikhail Zakharov's men will take part in the competitions for the second time. In summer 2015 HC Yunost Minsk finished second after Austria's Graz 99ers, surpassing HK Poprad and HC Slavia Praha.
This year's tournament will feature six teams divided into two groups. Competing for the Tatra Cup will be five countries: Slovakia's HK Poprad and HC Kosice, France's Nice HCA, Germany's Bayreuth, and Hungary's Dunaujvaros.
Belarus will play in Group B against HC Kosice and Hungary's Dunaujvaros. Group A will feature HK Poprad, France's Nice and Germany's Bayreuth. Following the group stage, the teams will compete for the final place in The Tarta Cup (the top team in Group A will face the winner in group B).

HC Yunost Minsk will act as an organizer of an international tournament at Chizhovka Arena on 26-30 July. Taking part in the competitions will be Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, Dinamo Riga, Dynamo Moscow, and Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk.
