MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk lost 4-5 to Metallurg Magnitogorsk as they first road series of the 2016-2017 KHL season came to a close on 13 September, BelTA has learned.
Alexander Pavlovich and Alexander Materukhin provided the Bisons with a two-goal lead in the first half of the game, forcing Metallurg goalie Vasily Koshechkin out.
Magnitka's Wojciech Wolski reduced the gap to one-goal shortage before Andrei Stepanov restored Minsk's two-goal advantage.
Four goals from Magnitogorsk turned the third period into a nightmare for the guests. Denis Kazionov and Sergei Mozyakin tied up the game within a minute. Ten minutes later Sergei Tereshchenko placed his team in front with his rocket from the blue line 4-3. Vladislav Kaletnik then scored an empty netter for the hosts, just before Yevgeny Kovyrshin added one for Dinamo on the last second of the game.
A day earlier, two late goals gave Dinamo Minsk a narrow victory over Traktor Chelyabinsk, 3-2.
HC Dinamo Minsk wrapped up their first road series of the season with six points.
The Bisons will host Dinamo Riga on 15 September.
