MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – Olga Govortsova and Vera Lapko have finished second at a big WTA tournament Guangzhou Open, BelTA informs.
In the doubles final the Belarusian duo lost to the American-Chinese tandem of Asia Muhammad and Peng Shuai 2-6, 6-7. Olga Govortsova and Vera Lapko defeated the former world number one players Martina Hingis of Switzerland and Serbia's Jelena Jankovic to reach the final.
Belarusian Svetlana Pirozhenko teamed up with Belgium's Catherine Chantraine to win the Hammamet Open 2016 beating Cristina Adamescu of Romania and Switzerland's Karin Kennel 6-4, 7-5.
