Four Belarusian players to compete at 2019 Cincinnati Masters

MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – Four Belarusian tennis players will compete for the 2019 Western & Southern Open trophy in Cincinnati, the United States, BelTA has learned.

Aliaksandra Sasnovich, WTA World No.47, will face Australia's world number 99 Astra Sharma.

World number 9 Aryna Sabalenka will play WTA World No.21 Petra Martic of Croatia. Victoria Azarenka, WTA World No.40, will take on Switzerland's world number 12 Belinda Bencic. Victoria Azarenka won the women's singles event in 2013 and, teamed up with Russia's Maria Kirilenko, celebrated the doubles victory in 2010.

In the women's doubles, Belarus' Lidziya Marozava and Slovenia's Katarina Srebotnik will open against the Australian-U.S. tandem of Monique Adamczak and Kaitlyn Christian.

The competitions in Cincinnati will run through 18 August.
