European Games transportation plan approved

MINSK, 27 December (BelTA) - A comprehensive transportation plan for the Second European Games has been developed, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Association of Experts and Surveyors in Transport Yuri Vazhnik said in an interview with the press service of the Directorate of the Second European Games, BelTA informs.

According to Yuri Vazhnik, when developing the European Games transportation plan Minsk relied on the experience of the previous hosts of the Olympic Games and the First European Games: Beijing, London, Baku.

“The comprehensive transportation plan has already been approved by the European Games national organizing committee. Today we need to determine which transport resources we will use during the European Games in Minsk. Simultaneously we are working on the transport infrastructure which is a more profound part of the preparations. Our goal is to optimize the transportation infrastructure of Minsk so that visitors and participants could get to any venue in 30 minutes at most,” Yuri Vazhnik said.
