Ellison's hat trick takes Dinamo Minsk past Avangard Omsk

MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk made a perfect comeback on Matt Ellison's hat trick beating the visiting Avangard Omsk 4-2 in the KHL action on 3 October, BelTA has learned.

The Canadian forward took control of the game in the third period, with his team trailing 0-2. Matt Ellison leveled off the score with goals in the 42nd and 44th minutes. Alexander Kalyuzhny assisted the Canadian on both the occasions and soon took his game in front in the 52nd minute. Matt Ellison made it three with an empty net goal to complete the scoring.

Earlier everything had gone the visitor's way, with Ivan Fishchenko and Alexander Perezhogin putting it 2-0 ahead in the first period.

With 24 points after 15 games the Bisons now go 9th in the West.

Dinamo Minsk next host Barys Astana on 5 October.
