Domracheva victorious in Women's Sprint at IBU World Cup in Russia

MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) - Darya Domracheva of Belarus won the 7.5km Women's Sprint at the IBU World Cup in Tyumen, Russia, BelTA has learned.

The four-time Olympic champion started the race 50th, behind the main rivals. During the race the Belarusian shot clean and did very good on the track. She took the lead at the finish line by 1.2 seconds. Finnish Kaisa Makarainen was second (1.2 seconds back 0+0). Tiril Eckhoff from Norway finished in third (3.3 seconds 1 +0).

At the IBU World Cup 7 in Kontiolahti, the leader of the Belarusian team was victorious in the Sprint. One week later Darya finished second in the Sprint and celebrated victory in the Pursuit in Holmenkollen, Norway.
