Domracheva to start Hochfilzen Sprint 36th

MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – The IBU World Championships Biathlon in Hochfilzen, Austria will continue with the Women's 7.5 km Sprint on 10 February. The three-time Olympic Champion Darya Domracheva will start the race with bib 36, BelTA has learned.

The leader of the Belarusian national team last performed in the global sports forum in Finland's Kontiolahti in 2015. She did not win medals then, though claimed the Big Crystal Globe of the season, the only trophy she lacked in her collection. Darya Domracheva produced her best sprint performance as part of the world championships in Germany's Ruhpolding in 2012, when she clinched silver.

Belarus at the forthcoming event will be represented by Irina Krivko (bib 8), Darya Domracheva (bib 36), Nadezhda Skardino (bib 75), and Nadezhda Pisareva (bib 86). French Marie Dorin Habert and Finland's Kaisa Makarainen will start 1st and 4th respectively. Italy's Dorothea Wierer will follow them. Germany's yellow-bib Laura Dahlmeier will start 64th.
