Domracheva, Bjoerndalen to train Chinese biathletes

MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – Belarusian multi-medal biathlete Darya Domracheva and her husband Ole Einar Bjoerndalen have signed a contract with the National Olympic Committee of China to train the country's national team for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

“We are happy to announce the start of our cooperation with the national biathlon team of China. This is a young team with a great potential. Starting today, we are launching the daily training process and will be happy to share our many years of experience with Chinese athletes,” Ole Einar Bjoerndalen, the eight-time Olympic champion from Norway, said.

"We are happy to take this opportunity to help our favorite sport grow around the world and in countries where winter sports have huge potential,” added Darya Domracheva, the four-time Olympic champion.

Darya Domracheva will train the women's team while Ole Einar Bjoerndalen has been named head coach of the Chinese national team.
