Dinamo Minsk stun Magnitka, score five goals in third

MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) – Dinamo Minsk overcame a three-goal deficit with 12 minutes remaining in the third period and scored five goals to take a 5–3 victory over the visiting Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the KHL regular season action on 17 September, BelTA has learned.

Earlier, it seemed to become a routine victory for the visitor. An early power play saw Sergei Mozyakin set up Jan Kovar for the opening goal. The second period brought a marker for Matt Ellison on his return to Belarus before Oskar Osala converted another power play.

But it all turned around in the third. Alexander Kitarov gave the home team hope. Alexander Pavlovich narrowed the gap before Alexander Kitarov tied the score in the 53rd minute. 21-year-old defenseman Evgeny Lisovets delivered the killer blow with 45 seconds left to play. Alexander Pavlovich put his second goal of the night into the empty net.

The Bisons wrapped up their home series with the game against Metallurg. Gordie Dwyer's men next take on Barys Astana on 21 September.
