Dinamo Minsk lose 2-4 to Metallurg Magnitogorsk

MINSK, 5 December (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk lost 2-4 to Metallurg Magnitogorsk, extending their losing streak to three games in the ongoing KHL regular season.

Sergei Mozyakin put Metallurg ahead with a power play goal in the sixth minute of the game.

Oskar Osala scored a short-handed goal late in the first period before Rob Klinkhammer got Dinamo on the scoreboard midway through the second. Chris Lee and Alexander Pavlovich traded goals late the middle stanza.

Sergei Mozyakin added an assist on Danis Zaripov's empty-net goal to complete the scoring.

With the win, Metallurg Magnitogorsk topped the Eastern Conference with 81 points after 38 games.

Having scored 58 points after 37 games, Dinamo Minsk goes 7th in the Western Conference. The top three in the West are SKA St. Petersburg (93 points), CSKA Moscow (85 points), and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod (69 points).

The Bisons will be back in action on 6 December as they host Slovan Bratislava (43 points and the 12th spot in the table). Eight best teams from each conference will advance to the KHL playoffs.
