Dinamo Minsk extend winning streak

MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) - Dinamo Minsk cruised to a 4-1 win over Riga namesakes on 24 November to extend their winning streak to four games in the KHL action.

First-period goals from Alexander Materukhin, Alexander Pavlovich and Nikita Komarov made it 3-0. Yevgeny Lisovets added a fourth in the middle stanza, although the Latvian team had chances to open the score.

Maris Bichevskis was the only scorer for the Latvians, denying Minsk goalie Ben Scrivens his shutout opportunity with less than four minutes left to play.

The two teams faced each other in early November, with Riga edging the Bisons 4-3.

With 54 points after 33 games Dinamo Minsk go 6th in the Western Conference. The Bisons are back in action on 26 November as they face Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod.
