Dinamo Minsk edge SKA in shootout

MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk won an away game against SKA St Petersburg 3-2 in a shootout in the KHL action on 19 December, BelTA has learned.

Two goals from Ilya Kovalchuk were cancelled by a goal and a shootout winner from Jack Skille.

Ilya Kovalchuk opened the scoring with a one-timer early in the second period. Some six minutes later Dinamo hit back through Jack Skille for the equalizer. Dmitry Korobov gave the Belarusians a 2-1 lead with 10 minutes to go.

Ilya Kovalchuk tied things up in the 57th minute. Jack Skille claimed the winner for Dinamo in a shootout battle.

The Bisons will next play against Lokomotiv Yaroslavl on 21 December.
