MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk lost 1-4 to Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the KHL action on 6 December, BelTA has learned.
After sharing goals in the opening stanza through Dan Sexton and Dinamo's Dmitry Buinitsky, the home team took command in the second. Andrej Nestrasil made it 2-1 with a power play goal in the 23rd minute, Chad Rau added a third close to the second intermission. Bogdan Yakimov sent home a fourth midway through the final stanza.
The two teams faced each other on 13 October, with the Bisons celebrating a 3-1 victory. However, after the game in the middle of the autumn the Russian team has changed a lot. Since then Neftekhimik has taken 11 victories to join the list of the leaders in the Eastern Conference.
Dinamo Minsk ended its road series with three losses in a row. With 50 points after 39 games, the Bisons sit tenth, seven points shy of a playoff spot in the West.
The Belarusians will be back in action on 9 December as they host Dinamo Riga at Minsk Arena.
