Dinamo Minsk blank Riga namesakes

MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – Dinamo Minsk took a solid win (3-0) over their namesakes in Riga on 25 January, BelTA informs.

Following a brief break in the KHL regular season due to the All-Star Game Dinamo Minsk resumed action on the road.

In Riga the teams produced a total of 54 shots on goal, with Minsk Bisons scoring three times. All-Star record goalscorer Matt Ellison had an assist on Ryan Gunderson's opener. Oleg Goroshko made it 2-0 with his rocket from the blue line. Andrei Stepanov fed Charles Linglet who completed the scoring.

Dinamo Minsk goalie Jeff Glass made 26 saves.

Minsk Bisons will next face SKA Saint Petersburg at Minsk Arena on 27 January. The forthcoming home series will also include a game against Spartak Moscow on 29 January.

With 71 points after 52 games Dinamo Minsk goes 10th in the West.
