MINSK, 27 July (BelTA) - Ole Einar Bjoerndalen and Darya Domracheva visited the Belarusian automobile engineering company OAO BelAZ in Zhodino, BelTA learned from the company.
The couple saw the mining vehicles exhibited in the demonstration site, took a guided tour around the production floors and took a ride in a 450-tonne rock hauler around the testing ground. “We give an opportunity to our guests of honor to get behind the wheel of such a huge truck and feel its power,” the company said.
“It was great to see for myself the things that I saw on TV before,” said Ole Einar Bjoerndalen, climbing down the 450-tonne vehicle. “The trucks are impressive. So is the production process. Belarus can take pride in them. Driving such a huge vehicle was an absolutely new experience for me,” the athlete added.
