MINSK, 27 December (BelTA) - The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories to mark the end of the 17th week's play of the 9th season of the Championship, reads a post on the KHL official website.
With three wins in three road matches, shutting out the opposition twice and allowing just a single goal all week, Ben Scrivens (Dinamo Minsk) was recognized best goaltender. The 30-year-old Canadian recorded a save percentage of 98.97 and a goals against average of 0.33, the best individual figures in both categories.
Ilya Nikulin (Dynamo Moscow) was named best defenseman. Nigel Dawes (Barys) was recognized best forward and Vladimir Tkachyov (Admiral) best rookie.
Dinamo Minsk will play the next KHL match against St. Petersburg SKA on 3 January.
