MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Belarus' leading hurdler Alina Talay won the Great City Games in Manchester, England, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian clocked 12.74 seconds in the 100m Hurdles race. Second came in Isabelle Pedersen of Norway (13.03 seconds). Alicia Barrett of the UK was third (13.42 seconds).
Elvira Herman clocked 12.73 seconds to set a new personal record at the international tournament Meeting Elite de Montgeron in France on 13 May. According to the Belarusian Athletics Federation, Belarusian hurdlers showed Europe's best results in the 100m Hurdles in May. The current world best record of 12.40 is held by Jasmine Camacho-Quinn (Puerto Rico).
