Belarusian fencer Darya Ulasava takes bronze at European Cadet Circuit in Poznan

MINSK, 14 January (BelTA) – Darya Ulasava of Belarus has clinched bronze at the individual female event (foil) of the Cadet Circuit in Poznan, BelTA has learned.

The Brest-born athlete defeated another Belarusian, Hanna Zubkouskaya, in the preliminary stage 15-9. She also went past Oliwia Debicka of Poland 15-10, Tinney MAK of Canada 15-9, Cyrielle Darde of France and Karina Vasile of Romania 15-13. Unfortunately, Darya Ulasava lost to Luca Holland-Cunz of Germany 5-15 who later took gold. Silver went to Kristina Petrova of Ukraine. The second bronze went to Karolina Zurawska of Poland.

Taking part in the event were 202 athletes from 23 countries.
