Belarusian club to compete in Russian Women's Volleyball Super League

MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – The volleyball federations of Russia and Belarus signed a cooperation agreement in St. Petersburg, BelTA has learned.

According to the agreement, a Belarusian club will compete in the Russian Women's Volleyball Super League. The Russian championship is one of the strongest in Europe, and therefore it will be useful for the Belarusian women's volleyball team to play with real stars of international volleyball. The agreement also involves for many other forms of mutually beneficial cooperation between the volleyball federations of Belarus and Russia.

The signing ceremony was attended by the chairmen of the supervisory boards of the volleyball federations of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Vashchenko and Nikolai Patrushev, the heads of the volleyball federations Alexander Pyasetsky (Belarus) and Stanislav Shevchenko (Russia).
